Kompiam Station has a well maintained airstrip. Kompiam Lodge is located near the airstrip.

MAF has regular light aircraft flights from Mt Hagen to Kompiam Station (about 20 minutes).

Air Niugini has daily scheduled flights from Port Moresby to Mt Hagen and Wapenamanda Airports.

By Road

There is a reasonable road, mostly sealed, from Mt Hagen to Wabag. Gravel road from Wabag to Kompiam.
